Dronning Margrethe og Prins Henrik fond

During the State Visit to Vietnam in November 2009, H.M. the Queen of Denmark and H.R.H. Prince Consort paid a visit to KOTO and witnessed how KOTO is changing the lives disadvantaged youth in Vietnam.

 

At the ceremony at the KOTO restaurant in Hanoi, the Danish Ambassador to Vietnam, John Nielsen awarded a grant of 10,000 USD to KOTO Founder, Mr. Jimmy Pham. The Funds were awarded on behalf of Queen Margrethe’s and Prince Henrik’s Foundation.

U&I Juice bar

The U&I juice Bar is a joint initiative between Unilever and KOTO, located in the Unilever cafeteria, it is a trendy venue where Unilever employees can relax, while supporting a great cause and learning more about KOTO

Michael Matthews Foundation

The Michael Matthews Foundation helps to provide an education to children in remote places, who without a helping hand are unlikely to recieve any education at all.

 

Over the years the foundation has helped raise money for KOTO as well as other non-profit organisations, through various fundraising campaigns.

ACET

ACET opened in 2002 in both Hanoi and HCMC and is a partnership between IDP Education and the language centre of the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).

 

ACET delivers English courses which are designed to give students the skills needed in a range of different areas including General English, Academic English and IELTS Preparation so that students are able to function in English, confidently and fluently within a study or work environment.

 

This education center has sponsored KOTO on numerous occasions over the years, helping to fund amongst other events the 2012 KOTO graduation and and the 2012 KOTO bike ride

CSIP

Beginning in 2013 through to 2014, Life Art cooperated with KOTO International to integrate Life Art methods into social skills training courses for KOTO’s students.

 

Established in 2010, Life Art is the first and only Social Enterprise in Vietnam which specializes in researching, developing and practicing Applied Art method in human development in order to bring effective development for individuals, organizations and society. 

PEAK

PEAK DMC is the world’s largest B2B global adventure management service company.

In July 2013, PEAK helped fund the KOTO field trip to Hoi An

Future First

 

Future First’s vision is that every school should be supported by a thriving, engaged alumni community. Their programme provides the infrastructure and expertise that make establishing these communities easy and inexpensive.

Future First help and guide our Alumni after they graduate, to make sure they get the best job oppotunities possible. 

HSBC

on February 7th 2012, HSBC donated US$50,000 to KOTO Saigon as it continued its ongoing support for Vietnam’s street kids and disadvantaged youths.

The donation came from the bank’s Future First fund, a global corporate sustainability program of HSBC which has funded 314 projects in 49 countries and impacted half a million children since 2006.

KOTO Saigon has already launched a series of educational workshops for trainees, which includes programs on financial literacy and other life skills.

The trainees, who have begun the financial literacy program, are benefiting greatly as it includes hospitality and English language lessons. The financial literacy program is set to be conducted every six months by HSBC volunteers to support Koto trainees.

Intrepid

We love the lengths that some Intrepid travellers will go, to raise funds for a good cause! In mid October, Garry West-Bail of Melbourne, will be running and cycling across Vietnam, to raise funds for KOTO.

 

 Intrepid and The Intrepid Foundation have been supporters of KOTO since KOTO’s founding in 1999, by former Intrepid tour leader Jimmy Pham.

Swiss Philanthropy foundation

 

The goal of the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation is to promote the development of philanthropy by supporting organisations or projects of general interest, for example, in the fields of humanitarian aid, social or medical assistance, the protection of the environment, and culture.

 

Happy feet

Project Happy Feet first supported Know One Teach One (KOTO) in 2009 when it sponsored four students. These students have since graduated, a testimonial to KOTO’s and to Project Happy Feet’s partnership with them.

In 2011, Project Happy Feet returned to KOTO and sponsored four more students.

 

They are: My, 19; Hieu, 19; Phu, 17; and Kieu, 17. Through coming from all walks of life, they have now one thing in common – being members of KOTO class 19.

EMpower

 

EMpower are a network-based consulting company. They help individuals, teams and companies develop and implement winning strategies Current Grant: EMpower’s 5th grant to KOTO provides operational support to fund critical elements of their strategic planning for the next 2 years such as staff and leadership development and improvement of staff appraisal and program monitoring and evaluations.
